The Convention and Cultural Events Office consists of two units: The Convention Center and Special Events. These two units facilitate public use of the Empire State Plaza and are responsible for approximately 1,500 events each year.
The Convention Center, located within the Empire State Plaza is a unique, multi-purpose venue available for conferences, meetings, dinner receptions, weddings, graduations, proms, trade and consumer shows, and entertainment events. The flexible design of the various spaces, including the Corning Tower 42nd Floor Observation Deck, makes the Plaza an ideal location to plan your next event.
Special Events is host to a year-round program of free, cultural and educational events. Our mission is to provide quality entertainment for the public to enjoy in our spectacular capital setting. From summer festivals to school performances, and from craft fairs to farmers' markets—there is something for everyone to enjoy at the Plaza.
